What is self-fulfillment? What does it mean to come true? Knowing that you are in the right place to do what you are supposed to do. It's about feeling fully about yourself and being at peace with who you are and what you do. So how do you get there? I suggest 10 questions to guide you.
Today I am going to answer this question: "What is self-fulfillment and how do you achieve it? "
Because being fulfilled is the assurance of living a happy and successful life. Indeed, self-fulfillment is successfully living your life in your own way.
And, this is not an obvious thing. Yes, since our childhood, we are told what to do, we are told that we are known well, even better than ourselves.
Who are we ? What do we want to do? How to achieve us?
We don't know anymore and it stresses us out. That’s why I’m offering 10 questions to help you see things more clearly.
1 - Self-fulfillment: What do I Want to Give?
What do I want to give to the world, to others and even to myself? Do I want to do what is expected of me or do I have the courage to look myself in the face and do what I really want to do?
Because today we are there: we do what is expected of us. In fact, we don't want to be noticed, so we waste our talents in a job that we don't really like and that does not fulfill us, and even in our passions, we are satisfied with agreed things for fear of the - we will say.
We don't ask ourselves: does that make me happy, but what will others think of it?
What if we shake ourselves up a bit to come true?
So, it's time to ask yourself this question: "What do I want to give? "
Close your eyes and put no limits on yourself. It's okay to be afraid, it's okay to doubt, but dream big. Indeed, know that you will always be accompanied and supported on your way. Yes, it won't be all pink, all outlined, but the goal is not the destination, it is the path.
Indeed, self-fulfillment is knowing that each day we take a small step towards what we want to offer to the world, to others and to ourselves.
2 - What do I Want to Experience?
Since our childhood, we have been told that life is like this rather than that. And, that’s why we sometimes wake up and have doubts: is this really the life I want to lead?
In other words, to realize yourself, it is essential to allow yourself to ask yourself this question: "What do I want to live? "
Yet the question is more often formulated like this: "What can I go through?" "
In fact, we tend to limit our outlook on life. What if she was much more than that?
Indeed, personal achievement is having the courage to question ourselves about what we want to experience in this life. It is realizing that it belongs to us and that it is up to us to push our limits a little more every day.
So what do you want to experience in this life?
3 - If I had to imagine myself on my Deathbed, What Would I Like to Remember?
We don't always realize it, but death is great advice. Indeed, once we accept that one day we are going to die, everything makes more sense.
So can you close your eyes for a few moments and imagine yourself on your deathbed? Breathe calmly. If you feel fearful, that's okay.
But, go beyond your fear. Imagine yourself on your deathbed, what would you like to say about your life? What would be your fondest memories?
In fact, what would make you say, "My life was worth living, I'm happy. "
Because it is to come true, it is to lead a life that we believe is worth living.
4 - Are my Dreams Really Mine?
Self-fulfillment is not the fulfillment of others. And yet when we take a closer look at most of our life choices, we can realize that others had a big impact on them.
Because we were afraid of disappointing, afraid of being left, afraid of being criticized ...
What if we are no longer afraid? And if we don't care about others anymore, how would it be to come true?
So what are your dreams?
5 - Self-Fulfillment: Who do I Want To Be?
Sometimes people talk about us with fatalism: “I am like that. "
In fact, we don't observe ourselves enough. Can you realize how much you have changed compared to your childhood, 10 years ago, 5 years ago and even 6 months ago?
Indeed, we change all the time!
We evolve, we grow, because every day we learn and we have new experiences.
So, rather than locking yourself in boxes, why not give yourself the chance to be who you want to be instead?
6 - Self-fulfillment: Am I Living my Dream Life?
To come true is to stay connected to your dreams. But, unfortunately, with everyday life, it is difficult for us to remember.
In fact, on a daily basis, we tend to focus on our problems.
In fact, if we take a closer look, sometimes we even feel like we're going from one problem to another.
Yet to be fulfilled is above all to fulfill your dreams. So how do you do it?
What if we changed our way of seeing things? Rather than seeing problems everywhere, why not instead see opportunities to make our dreams come true?
Indeed, our life is only a reflection of what we want to see in it.
In other words, if you choose to see only problems, you will only see them. But if you want to see only opportunities to move towards your dreams, then you will see only that.
7 - What do I Dislike about my Current Life and How Can I Change This?
Self-fulfillment is also about seeing what is wrong and taking charge of things.
It’s normal that all is not well. Indeed, there are always hazards, things that fall on us, but all this does not come to make us sink, but to make us stronger.
So don't be afraid, don't doubt. Know that you have the shoulders strong enough to face!
That's why it's time to take a deep breath and ask yourself: What don't I want anymore and how can I change it?
Indeed, to be fulfilled is to know how to free yourself from what you no longer want!
8 - Self-fulfillment: What does it mean to me: self-fulfillment? What images? What emotions come to me spontaneously?
Too often, when we talk about self-actualization, we look to each other. We are looking for answers everywhere, except within ourselves.
Yet the answers are within us.
So these questions will help you find them. Because the answers don't come by themselves. (laughs)
And, so, I wholeheartedly invite you to take a few moments to ask yourself, "What does this mean to me: self-fulfillment?" "" What does that mean to me: come true? "
Close your eyes and listen to your heart. It may not be immediate, surely even (laughs). So ask yourself this question every day until you hear the answers.
You know, being alive isn't about ticking boxes approved by society or those around you, it's about finding the definition, your definition of self-fulfillment.
9 - Self-fulfillment: If I had nothing to prove, what would I do?
This question is more than liberating. Indeed, we don't always realize it, but everything we do, we do to prove something to others.
Proof that we are good people and proof that we are worth loving.
What if you had nothing to prove? Imagine a little. Close your eyes. What do you see ? What are you feeling ? What would you do ?
Because self-fulfillment is just that: doing things for yourself and your way.
10 - Self-fulfillment: And What Wouldn't I Do Anymore?
Going your own way is also having what you wouldn't do if you had nothing to prove.
Indeed, it is sorting through all of these activities that we do day after day to make sure that we are someone in the eyes of others and of society.
What if we were no longer afraid to become ourselves, what would we stop doing?
To be fulfilled in this life is also to sort out what you do. It is knowing how to let go, to free oneself.
Yes, it is simplifying to keep only what is essential to us and no longer what is essential in the eyes of others.
