Getting up early in the morning is difficult. If you've ever tried getting up at 5 or 6 a.m. to start your day productively, you know how challenging it can be. Usually your alarm clock goes off and all you want to do is hit the snooze button to go back to bed.

But with a little practice and some good techniques, it is quite possible to be able to get up early every morning easily.

In this article we will see:

  • What are the benefits of getting up early in the morning?
  • How to get up early?
  • What to do when you wake up?
  • Do you have to get up early to be successful?

The benefits of getting up early

You have more time for yourself

When you get up early in the morning, you can take your time. There is nothing worse than waking up in a hurry and starting the day feeling good. By getting up early, you start the day at your own pace. You are more serene and calm. You also have more time to prepare and organize what you encounter in the best conditions for the day.

Waking up early also means having a special time in which you can do things for yourself. You can read, meditate, play sports, write ... in short, do all those things that you do not usually do because you are interrupted by those around you, because you lack time or because you feel that there are things more urgent to do.

You are more productive

Morning is the best time to “eat your frog” - in other words, to accomplish your challenging and important tasks. This is when you have the most energy and when you are most alert and alert. This is also when you are calm and can concentrate fully on your work without fear of being interrupted.

By using the first few hours of your day to work on things that make a real difference to you, you are not only investing your energy in the best possible way but you are sure to have a productive day.

Personally, when I wake up at 6:30 a.m., I write an article until 9:00 a.m. This is my most important job, it is the one that I take care to accomplish before everything else. It ensures that I have a productive day no matter what happens next. I can be unproductive in the afternoon, deal with unforeseen events, learn bad news ... my day will still be a success because I will have advanced on what is most important to me from the first hours of the day.

You gain momentum for the day

When you start your day early to accomplish your important tasks, you want a sense of productivity and satisfaction that goes with you throughout the day. You get extra boost to get the rest of your day off.

How to get up early?

Go to bed early

It might sound obvious, but if you want to get up early, you need to go to bed early first.

The problem is, going to bed early is often difficult. Usually we are active before sleeping. We watch a series or a movie, we hang out on social networks, we play a game, we chat ... and we don't feel like going to bed.

We allow ourselves some variation, we watch a few more videos on YouTube, we chat a little longer on WhatsApp, we try to pass a few more levels on our favorite game ... results we go to bed late. And when it comes time to wake up early the next day, it's difficult because you haven't slept long enough.

If you want to get up early, then you need to optimize the hours leading up to bedtime. You have to do less stimulating things. Things that make it easier to fall asleep, not activities that boost your dopamine.

To do this, read a book, listen to a podcast, listen to music, meditate ... in short, do something that signals your brain that it is almost time to sleep. You'll fall asleep sooner, and you'll find it easier to get up early the next day.

Find a good reason to wake up early

If you want to get up early but don't know why you're doing it, there's a good chance you'll fall back asleep every time your alarm goes off. So you must have a strong enough reason to get out of bed. Something that gives you energy and motivation.

Do you want to get up early to exercise and stay healthy?

Is it to meditate and feel more connected and present?

Do you have a project that is close to your heart and that you want to accomplish in the morning?

Whatever the reason, it has to be stronger than your urge to stay warm in bed in the morning. Once you find it, it will be easier to get up early.

Make waking up inevitable

If you are prone to hitting the snooze key when waking up, you may need some drastic solutions to wake up. Here are some ideas that should help you.

Place your alarm clock away from you to force yourself to get up to turn it off.

If that's not enough, choose an alarm clock that prevents you from going back to sleep.

You can also find a partner who gets up early and message them by the time you wake up early and if you don't, you have a pledge.

In the same vein, Thomas Franck programs the following tweet every day on Buffer to force himself to get up early in the morning:

It's 6:10 and I'm not up because I'm lazy! Reply to this tweet to earn $ 5 (provided my alarm was okay). Limited to 5 people.

If he doesn't wake up at 6:00 am to unsent, that tweet is automatically posted and he is forced to pay his followers for not getting up on time.

With these few techniques you will be forced to wake up early in the morning even if you tend to fall asleep again as soon as you hear your alarm clock.

Create pleasant conditions

It is much easier to get up early when you make it easier to wake up. For this you just need to create the perfect conditions when you wake up. You can for example:

Program your coffee machine to make coffee for you when you wake up. This way you will be greeted by a good smell of coffee when you get out of bed and all you have to do is pour yourself a cup. To do this, buy a programmable coffee machine (aff) which will prepare a coffee for you at the time you want or take a traditional coffee machine and plug it into a digital programmable outlet (aff)

  • Prepare your yoga mat so that when you wake up you just have to start your session
  • Pack your sports gear and put it on display.
  • Clean and tidy your desk the night before so that when you wake up in the morning you have an organized space to work and start your day productively.
  • Prepare your tasks for the day the night before so you know exactly what to work on when you wake up
By creating pleasant conditions, it will be easier for you to wake up and start your day.

Create a routine

Creating a routine makes waking up much easier. If you go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, you will program your body and your brain. It will be easier for you to lie down and get up. Sometimes you will even notice that you wake up a few minutes before you wake up because you intuitively know when it is time to get up.

Optimize your diet

Your diet determines the quality of your sleep. If you eat a large meal and / or drink a lot (water / alcohol) right before bed, your sleep will not be optimal. No matter how early you go to bed and follow all of the tips you've read so far, it will still be hard for you to get up.

To remedy this, optimize your diet:

  • Avoid large meals before sleeping
  • Drink little or no alcohol
  • Don't drink too much water to avoid getting up too often during the night to go to the bathroom
  • Don't drink coffee after 2 p.m.

By following these tips, you will sleep better and have less trouble getting up early in the morning.

What to do when you wake up?

The first hours of the day are the most beneficial. These are the ones where you have the most energy and focus. So you have to use them intelligently while doing important things.

The important things are those that are most beneficial in the long run. They are the ones that make you progress and move forward. But paradoxically, they are also those that we tend to neglect in favor of urgent tasks.

So take advantage of the quiet of the morning when no one is up yet to invest in you and do things that are beneficial to you in the long term:

  • Meditate to keep your mind alive
  • Exercise to maintain your body
  • Read to enrich yourself
  • Write to articulate your ideas
  • Take training

After 9 am the atmosphere of the day changes. The moment of tranquility gives way to the noise and agitation of the day. You start to be in demand, you receive new emails, you get called, new urgent things emerge ... you are in the heat of the moment and tend to prioritize urgent things. This makes it much more difficult to take care of these important things.

By blocking out the early hours of the day for yourself, you make your personal development inevitable.

Do you have to get up early to be successful?

We have just seen the benefits of getting up early, how to get up early and what to do when you wake up, but we haven't yet talked about the relationship between success and the act of getting up early.

Yet there are countless articles, books, videos, lectures ... which explain why it is important to get up early in the morning for a successful life.

Still, I don't think waking up early in the morning is a component of success. It may sound counterintuitive, especially for an article that deals with "how to get up early", but it is true.

We really like to take successful people as an example and explain their success by getting up early. But when you look at the other end of the spectrum, you see that there are just as many late risers who have been successful too. Among them are for example:

  • Warren Buffet investor and American billionaire
  • Mark Zuckerberg founder of Facebook
  • Winston Churchill former Prime Minister of England
  • Gustave Flaubert writer
  • Simone de Beauvoir writer
  • Alexis Ohanian founder of Reddit
  • Pharrell Williams musician and philanthropist
  • Karl Lagerfeld fashion designer
  • J.R.R. Tolkien author of Lord of the Rings
  • And the list goes on and on.

Wake up time is not what defines your success, it is what you do when you are awake that defines it.

The most important thing is knowing your pace and knowing when YOU are most productive.

If you feel that your most productive hours are in the morning, I encourage you to apply the advice I have given you in this article. Get up early and make the most of this time of day. But if you find that you are more inspired, motivated and creative in the evening then going to bed late and getting up late will make a much better use of your time.

Dilute The Juices to Have Less Sugar

Juices contain too much sugar so the best solution is to dilute them in an amount of water equal to the juice or more.

  • Take care of the skin, which is the body's first line of defense.

The recommendations :

The WHO recommends two liters of water a day, but most of us stick to one and a half liters.

The more water we drink, the better?

Here are 11 very useful strategies from cleaning professionals to steal and copy on a daily basis! Experience it, it really works.

1.They Eliminate all The Superfluous First

Maria Stickney, the housekeeping manager at a Radisson Blu hotel, likes to leave on a blank card, wiping out all the clutter and everything else.

We must start on a blank slate.

She empties the trash, removes the sheets, towels and whatever is left.

In the bathroom, she removes towels, bath mats, bottles, and anything on counters or the toilet tank.

By getting into this habit, you will be less tempted to just clean around these items or put them back on a damp surface that you just cleaned, which can leave marks.

2.They Prefer Microfiber Cloths - But Look for Smart Substitutes in a Pinch

The secret to effective dusting is the right cleaning cloth. Microfiber is the best solution.

If you don't have one, use a 100% cotton cloth - like a (clean) cloth diaper, an old pillowcase, or an old T-shirt - and dampen it lightly.

Be sure to avoid using polyester rags - they can actually create more dust or just move it from one place to another. We don't especially want to when we don't like to clean.

3.They Know The trick to Making a Bed Quickly

Making a Kng-size bed can be time consuming; no matter which corner you start out in, you almost always find that you are placing the long end of a fitted sheet over the short end of the mattress.

one clue, “Labels always go down,” says Emma Anderson, 2014 Best Western Housekeeper of the Year.

With king sheets, the labels are on the left. With the queen size linens, they are right.

I also suggest that you mark the inside seams with a fabric marker to indicate the right or left corners.

4.Clean The Curtains With a Towel

Dust is everywhere so remember it is circulating in the air AND in the curtains too.

The best way to dust the curtains is to smooth them out and remove the dust with a bathroom towel. The reason is that they grip well: they're heavy enough to make a good impact, and light enough that you don't get tired.

You have a special nozzle in your vacuum cleaner: they don't go into every nook and cranny like towels.

The next step is to remove dust from the floor, cleaning the baseboards well and then vacuuming.

5.They Vacuum Before Cleaning

Always vacuum or sweep before washing. It seems obvious, but some people wash the floors and drag the dust from the floor, pushing it from room to room.

The consequence of doing this technique is that we leave the dust stuck on the floor. Having a black ground, I assure you it will be noticed immediately.

The best technique is to start with the far corner of the room, being careful to rub the corners well and move towards the door.

6.The bathrooms Last

In our house, I start with the bedrooms and then the living room. Lastly, I tackle the kitchen and the bathroom to minimize the bacterial transfer.

7.They Know Cleaning Products Take a long Time to Really Work

Let your cleaners do the work for you. Spray the walls of the shower and toilet and let them do their job for several minutes. We have a bad habit of applying the product and wiping off right after. What is the benefit of the product? This is the same as cleaning with water.

Leave them on for 5 minutes. Use this time to clean mirrors, windows, medicine cabinet, and anything else in the room.

Then go back and clean the surfaces using much less elbow grease.

8.They Vacuum in the Opposite Direction you were Taught

Your mom may have taught you to start with the farthest part of the room and vacuum yourself up, but the pros have another method: they vacuum the room starting with the high-traffic areas, then work your way up through the room. room (usually from the center to the end of the room) then suck their feet.

9.Their Favorite cleaner is in our Kitchen

You'd think we'd have some crazy secret weapon up our sleeves, but the best thing we have is white vinegar and water. I always have an extra liter of vinegar in my laundry room.

It is the cheapest product for cleaning your home and is versatile. Fill a spray bottle with one part vinegar, three parts water.

10.The Toothbrush is Their Favorite Object

You certainly don't need to clean every inch of your home with a toothbrush, but a toothbrush can be particularly useful in difficult places like toilet sills or difficult bathroom accesses.

It's also perfect for cleaning the edges of kitchen faucets.

11.They Have all their Tools

We see them all with their cart

Housekeepers keep everything they might need on their handy carts.

Take inspiration from them and make yourself a mini version. Fill a plastic bin or bucket with all your cleaning supplies, rags, and brushes.

The goal is to have the essentials close at hand and keep everything in one place.

How to feel good about yourself Feeling good is not innate. Indeed, we are not born well in our skin or not. Yes, we learn to become and especially to remain so. In other words, we need to put certain things in place on a daily basis. Here are 7 secrets to rediscover yourself.

Today I will answer this question: "How to feel good about yourself? "

Many of us suffer from physical complexes. We feel too much or not enough. This body which, however, is wonderful, we try to hide it and we denigrate it at the slightest opportunity.

However, that does not make us happy.

So how do we make peace with our bodies. Here are 7 secrets to feeling good about yourself.

How to feel good about yourself 7 secrets to rediscover yourself

1 - Play Sports

How to feel good about yourself By playing sports. What a scoop, isn't it ?! (laughs)
We all know we need to exercise to feel good, but too many of us still don't.
Yep, we're running out of time, it's well known. So, what do we do ? Are we not changing anything?
No, what we're going to change is our relationship to time. Repeat after me, "My time is mine. My quality of life depends on how I use it. "
In other words, if your number one goal is to feel good about yourself, know that sport is not an option, but an obligation. So the first step is to find the time.
For that, I invite you to make a list of everything you do for a week. Yes, a week! Write down everything and try to do your best to keep track of how long each thing takes you.
Also, I would like you to rate everything from 1 to 10: 1 being that I don't like and 10 I love what I do.
Take all of the things that are rated between 1 and 4 and think about how to delegate or remove them. Thus, it will give you time to play sports.
Once you have time, start small. If you're not used to exercising, do small things, but often.

Example: skipping rope for 5 minutes, some yoga postures or sheathing for 10 minutes, going for a run for 15 minutes, walking quickly for 30 minutes ...

Then, once you find your rhythm and gain confidence, increase more and more.

2 - A tidy Cabinet

What does a tidy cabinet mean? It's a wardrobe where you only see clothes you really love and wear!

In other words, all the clothes that you haven't worn at least once in the past 6 months, you give them away or sell them. Do the same for all the clothes you keep in case, because so and so gave it to you, maybe one day it will come back to the world. Yes, get rid of everything you don't like in your closet.

Why ? Because every time you open your wardrobe, you will have in front of you clothes that you like to wear and that scream at you: "you feel good when you wear me".

How to feel good about yourself By sorting out his wardrobe and keeping only the clothes we like.

3 - A Beautiful Toiletry Bag To Feel Good about Yourself

Yes, we're going to do the same with our toiletry bag, we're going to sort it out: on one side everything we like to use and on the other side everything else! We give it away or throw it away.

Having a clean and tidy toiletry bag containing only the products we like to use will tell you every day when you open it: "With me, you feel good!" "

How to feel good about yourself By having a custom made toiletry bag that we like!

4 - Have a Beautiful Interior

Yes, yes, the sorting doesn't stop there ... Ahah!

We're going to sort out all the rooms in our house. Why ? Because our interior has a real impact on our mood, our self-confidence and our motivation.

A clean and tidy interior, an interior revealing only objects that we like to use or look at is an interior that makes us feel better.

How to feel good about yourself By taking care of our interior so that it really looks like us.

5 - Smile and Compliment Yourself to Rediscover Yourself

Nothing better to feel confident than smiles and compliments. Unfortunately, if we wait wisely to receive it from our loved ones, sometimes it can turn out to be a very long time. (laughs)

So why wait? What if we gave ourselves smiles and compliments?

How? 'Or' What ? All it takes is a mirror and a good habit.

That's why now every morning and every evening, in front of the mirror:

Let's make eye contact (and we're not cheating, I'm watching!)

Breathe calmly

We smile until we see pretty crow's feet around our eyes

And, give us 3 compliments: I love my hair, my skin, my hands ...

Each time, let's try to take a good look at ourselves and love every part of our body.

How to feel good about yourself By learning to love yourself without limits!

6 - Let Others Take Care of Us

Going to the hairdresser, the beautician is not always a ritual. Particularly because it costs money.

Here again, money can be found like time. So, to our list: List all of your expenses for the month. Then, put each of your expenses into categories: food, commute, health, bills and extras. Take a look at your extras first. See if you can reduce some or even remove some. Among your bills, isn't there a subscription that is lying around that you are not using?

Sift through all your expenses and put aside any that are not essential or bring you any joy.

Also, trust the sorting that you will have done of your wardrobe and your house, because this will push you to buy only what you really like and what you are going to use. In other words, you will avoid a lot of unnecessary expenses!

Then, reinvest this money to let professionals take care of you: hairstyle, waxing, massage, nail polish ...

These are expenses that you might think are superfluous, but not at all! They have a real impact on the way you see yourself.

Plus, these are times when you thank your body for what it is and for everything it does for you. Every day he gets you out of bed, saves you a living. It allows you to walk, run, breathe, eat, dance… So it deserves a little attention for our greatest happiness.

How to feel good about yourself By providing attention and care to our body.

7 - Eat Better and Better To Feel Good about Yourself

Eat better and better, what does that mean? In fact, that applies to anyone who is greedy like me. (laughs)

Indeed, I know that eating healthy is what will make me have a more beautiful complexion, a healthier and firmer body, but it is not easy!

So, my secret to eating better and better and thus feeling better and better in my body is to start small.

Eating healthy is a long term goal and my short term action is to gradually eliminate fatty foods from my daily life.

Before, every morning, I ate nutella and rusks. My first action was to replace them for muesli. I can only find nutella on my pancakes now, for my greatest pleasure, because I am rediscovering it!

You can remove the sugar in your coffee, the soda in your glass, reduce the 2 slices of Camembert by one, two cakes by one ...

The goal is to move slowly, but surely towards our goal of healthy eating. At our pace!

What is self-fulfillment? What does it mean to come true? Knowing that you are in the right place to do what you are supposed to do. It's about feeling fully about yourself and being at peace with who you are and what you do. So how do you get there? I suggest 10 questions to guide you.

Today I am going to answer this question: "What is self-fulfillment and how do you achieve it? "

Because being fulfilled is the assurance of living a happy and successful life. Indeed, self-fulfillment is successfully living your life in your own way.

And, this is not an obvious thing. Yes, since our childhood, we are told what to do, we are told that we are known well, even better than ourselves.

Who are we ? What do we want to do? How to achieve us?

We don't know anymore and it stresses us out. That’s why I’m offering 10 questions to help you see things more clearly.

1 - Self-fulfillment: What do I Want to Give?

What do I want to give to the world, to others and even to myself? Do I want to do what is expected of me or do I have the courage to look myself in the face and do what I really want to do?

Because today we are there: we do what is expected of us. In fact, we don't want to be noticed, so we waste our talents in a job that we don't really like and that does not fulfill us, and even in our passions, we are satisfied with agreed things for fear of the - we will say.

We don't ask ourselves: does that make me happy, but what will others think of it?

What if we shake ourselves up a bit to come true?

So, it's time to ask yourself this question: "What do I want to give? "

Close your eyes and put no limits on yourself. It's okay to be afraid, it's okay to doubt, but dream big. Indeed, know that you will always be accompanied and supported on your way. Yes, it won't be all pink, all outlined, but the goal is not the destination, it is the path.

Indeed, self-fulfillment is knowing that each day we take a small step towards what we want to offer to the world, to others and to ourselves.

2 - What do I Want to Experience?

Since our childhood, we have been told that life is like this rather than that. And, that’s why we sometimes wake up and have doubts: is this really the life I want to lead?

In other words, to realize yourself, it is essential to allow yourself to ask yourself this question: "What do I want to live? "

Yet the question is more often formulated like this: "What can I go through?" "

In fact, we tend to limit our outlook on life. What if she was much more than that?

Indeed, personal achievement is having the courage to question ourselves about what we want to experience in this life. It is realizing that it belongs to us and that it is up to us to push our limits a little more every day.

So what do you want to experience in this life?

3 - If I had to imagine myself on my Deathbed, What Would I Like to Remember?

We don't always realize it, but death is great advice. Indeed, once we accept that one day we are going to die, everything makes more sense.

So can you close your eyes for a few moments and imagine yourself on your deathbed? Breathe calmly. If you feel fearful, that's okay.

But, go beyond your fear. Imagine yourself on your deathbed, what would you like to say about your life? What would be your fondest memories?

In fact, what would make you say, "My life was worth living, I'm happy. "

Because it is to come true, it is to lead a life that we believe is worth living.

4 - Are my Dreams Really Mine?

Self-fulfillment is not the fulfillment of others. And yet when we take a closer look at most of our life choices, we can realize that others had a big impact on them.

Because we were afraid of disappointing, afraid of being left, afraid of being criticized ...

What if we are no longer afraid? And if we don't care about others anymore, how would it be to come true?

So what are your dreams?

5 - Self-Fulfillment: Who do I Want To Be?

Sometimes people talk about us with fatalism: “I am like that. "

In fact, we don't observe ourselves enough. Can you realize how much you have changed compared to your childhood, 10 years ago, 5 years ago and even 6 months ago?

Indeed, we change all the time!

We evolve, we grow, because every day we learn and we have new experiences.

So, rather than locking yourself in boxes, why not give yourself the chance to be who you want to be instead?

6 - Self-fulfillment: Am I Living my Dream Life?

To come true is to stay connected to your dreams. But, unfortunately, with everyday life, it is difficult for us to remember.

In fact, on a daily basis, we tend to focus on our problems.

In fact, if we take a closer look, sometimes we even feel like we're going from one problem to another.

Yet to be fulfilled is above all to fulfill your dreams. So how do you do it?

What if we changed our way of seeing things? Rather than seeing problems everywhere, why not instead see opportunities to make our dreams come true?

Indeed, our life is only a reflection of what we want to see in it.

In other words, if you choose to see only problems, you will only see them. But if you want to see only opportunities to move towards your dreams, then you will see only that.

7 - What do I Dislike about my Current Life and How Can I Change This?

Self-fulfillment is also about seeing what is wrong and taking charge of things.

It’s normal that all is not well. Indeed, there are always hazards, things that fall on us, but all this does not come to make us sink, but to make us stronger.

So don't be afraid, don't doubt. Know that you have the shoulders strong enough to face!

That's why it's time to take a deep breath and ask yourself: What don't I want anymore and how can I change it?

Indeed, to be fulfilled is to know how to free yourself from what you no longer want!

8 - Self-fulfillment: What does it mean to me: self-fulfillment? What images? What emotions come to me spontaneously?

Too often, when we talk about self-actualization, we look to each other. We are looking for answers everywhere, except within ourselves.

Yet the answers are within us.

So these questions will help you find them. Because the answers don't come by themselves. (laughs)

And, so, I wholeheartedly invite you to take a few moments to ask yourself, "What does this mean to me: self-fulfillment?" "" What does that mean to me: come true? "

Close your eyes and listen to your heart. It may not be immediate, surely even (laughs). So ask yourself this question every day until you hear the answers.

You know, being alive isn't about ticking boxes approved by society or those around you, it's about finding the definition, your definition of self-fulfillment.

9 - Self-fulfillment: If I had nothing to prove, what would I do?

This question is more than liberating. Indeed, we don't always realize it, but everything we do, we do to prove something to others.

Proof that we are good people and proof that we are worth loving.

What if you had nothing to prove? Imagine a little. Close your eyes. What do you see ? What are you feeling ? What would you do ?

Because self-fulfillment is just that: doing things for yourself and your way.

10 - Self-fulfillment: And What Wouldn't I Do Anymore?

Going your own way is also having what you wouldn't do if you had nothing to prove.

Indeed, it is sorting through all of these activities that we do day after day to make sure that we are someone in the eyes of others and of society.

What if we were no longer afraid to become ourselves, what would we stop doing?

To be fulfilled in this life is also to sort out what you do. It is knowing how to let go, to free oneself.

Yes, it is simplifying to keep only what is essential to us and no longer what is essential in the eyes of others.

What to do when you are sad? Indeed, we often feel helpless by sadness. It falls on us and we don't know what to do with it. That’s why I’m sharing with you 20 Things to Do When You’re Sad.

Today I'm going to answer this question: "What to do when you're sad? "

When sadness falls on us, we are most often helpless. In fact, we don't know what to do to get better.

So we rehash and feed our sadness more than anything else.

What to do when you are sad?

I suggest 20 things to test to find a soft smile.

1 - When you're sad: read a book

Reading is one of the best stress relievers in the world. In fact, it only takes 6 minutes of reading to reduce stress by 60%. Why ? Because as we read our breath becomes calmer, deeper, our thoughts calm and our attention is focused on one thing: the words in front of our eyes.

In fact, reading is a great distraction from our stressful thoughts, but also sadness.

Indeed, when we are sad, we tend to rehash our sad thoughts and we lock ourselves in a vicious circle.

In other words, when you are sad, take a book and read for a few minutes: 20 minutes. And, let your sadness fly away.

2 - Write in a Journal

Writing soothes, it alleviates the heart and mind of worries. Indeed, while we write what runs in our head, what weighs on our heart, we shed it.

In other words, when we are sad, take a piece of paper and a pencil or open our notebook and write for 15-20 minutes without stopping.

3 - Cooking

When we're sad, we don't know what to do with ourselves, so we wander the house or curl up on the couch. But, this is how sadness tightens its grip on us.

So what to do?

Cooking is a great idea, because while our hands are busy, our thoughts calm down and even fall silent. Thus, they stop dwelling on our sadness, feeding it.

In other words, after a while of cooking, our sadness flies away.

4 - When we are Sad: Walk

As in the case of the kitchen, here it is not our hands that are busy, but our feet. Walking calms our thoughts. Indeed, they let themselves be rocked to the rhythm of our steps.

In addition, we can focus on what we see, hear, smell and we can listen to ourselves breathe, feel our chest rise.

So while we are focused on our 5 senses, we no longer listen to our thoughts that rehash our sadness.

5 - Exercise

If we want to or can't go for a walk, then why not let off steam with some exercise?

Indeed, when we are sad, it is good to focus on the sensations of our body, because this will allow us to no longer pay attention to our thoughts which keep us from sadness.

6 - Meditate

When we are sad we can also meditate. In other words, we can sit in silence, in a quiet and comfortable place. Just being face to face with us and our sadness.

The goal is to take a benevolent look at ourselves and our sad thoughts. And, let them pass calmly.

7 - Gardening

Nothing better than going out in contact with nature when you are sad.

So, put on a comfortable outfit and go out into your garden. Touch nature, smell it, look at it.

8 - When you're sad: Try Something New

When we are sad, it is essential to distract ourselves from our thoughts full of sadness. And what could be better than trying something new? Indeed, it will totally grab our attention and calm our thoughts.

Plus, you'll feel good, even proud to have done something new. Sadness will thus have less hold on us.

9 - Call a Friend

Calling a friend, not to dwell on what makes us sad, but rather to give news, tell what is going and listen to their news as well.

In fact, being interested in someone other than ourselves, especially in times of sadness, allows us to distance ourselves from our sadness. Afterwards, we feel lighter.

10 - When you're sad: Tidy up, clean

Sometimes, when we're sad, we don't really know what's happening to us. Yes, it’s a bit of a mess in us, in our thoughts.

The best remedy for this is to tidy up and clean our house. Indeed, while we tidy our house, we also tidy up our thoughts.

11 - Play With your Pet

Sometimes sadness invites us to curl up in a ball and not move. Unfortunately, our thoughts are more numerous and more painful. So, let's not stay there, just rehashing.

When we are sad, this is also a good time to play with our pet.

In fact, let his joy contaminate you and thus remove the sadness.

12 - Asking Someone Around Them For a Hug

Sadness pushes us to loneliness, to retreat into ourselves. Yet, there is a magic cure for sadness, and hugs from the people you love.

So when we're sad, let's ask for a hug and let our sadness melt away with this warm contact.

13 - When you're sad: Watch Funny Videos

Laughter is one of the best ways to take away sadness. But, strangely, we don't always think about it.

So when we are sad, let's remember to laugh while watching funny videos.

14 - Listen To Nusic to Cry

Sometimes laughing isn't what you need the most. Indeed, sometimes we need to cry.

So, if the tears can't come out, listen to the music that has this power over you and let your tears flow and take your sadness with them.

15 - Listen To Music to Dance

When you're sad, sometimes you just need to do whatever it takes. So put on your favorite music and dance anyway.

Let the simple joy of moving take away your sadness.

16 - When you're sad: Watch your Favorite Movie

Too often we don't watch our favorite movie because we tell ourselves we don't have time for it.

So when we're sad, let's say this is just the right time for it.

17 - When we're sad: Launching a New goal that Makes us Happy

Sometimes when you're sad, you just need to embark on a new adventure and set yourself a new goal.

A goal that is nothing serious, a goal that just makes us happy.

So what do you want to do? What would make you happy?

18 - Buy your Favorite Pastry

Gluttony has the power to push back sadness, so let's take advantage of it!

Allow yourself to go buy your favorite pastry and savor it with your eyes, nose, hands, mouth and especially with your heart.

19 - Sit in Nature To Listen to Birdsong, Watch The Sky

When we are sad, we feel alone in the world. That’s why, at such times, it’s good to remember that we are connected to something much bigger than we can imagine.

20 - When you're sad: Start a Book of Sweet Quotes

Sometimes when we're sad we just need a few sweet words for our hearts.

This is why I invite you to start a soft quote book.
